How much and why is there a membership fee?

According to the FinMUN General Assembly decision in 2010, FinMUN will charge a 8 euro membership fee per year. The reason for this is that public actors and authorities ask frequently in different situations who our members are. With a small membership fee we can keep track of this and offer our members various, interesting happenings and services.

What does FinMUN offer its members?

FinMUN offers its members following benefits:

• Possibility to attend MUNs abroad. Depending on our financial situation, FinMUN can in some cases offer a small sponsorship. Previously FinMUN has sponsored members to e.g. ISCOMUN, NMUN and WorldMUN.
• Free coaching from experienced FinMUNsters to people attending foreign MUNs or our own FINMUNs.
• Free training events/discount on bigger events, i.e. EduMUN
• FUNMUN Christmas party and other social events
• Discount on FINMUN Conference delegate fee
• Last but not least, a possibility to belong to the only Model United Nations Association in Finland!

How do I become a member?

Send an email to board(a)finmun.org and complete the following details:

• Name
• E-mail address
• Phone number
• Town of residence
• Year of birth
• Where and what you study
• Are you a member of the student union Helsingin Yliopiston Ylioppilaskunta (HYY)?
• Where did you hear of FinMUN

All information will remain confidential. 

Please note! If the payment is paid by another person than the member-to-be, please indicate this in your email, because otherwise we do not know whom the payment is for.
